Bush Fire Awareness and Training

This award-winning program will help you to prepare for the fire season. This is a full day of learning and practical training to provide the skills and experience should you or your home face a potential bush fire. You will also be assisted by qualified RFS staff to develop your own Bush Fire Survival Plan. You don’t have to live in Canyonleigh to participate. This event is usually held in September each year. Develop a Bush Fire Plan for your Horses.

If you own a horse, will you know what to do in the event of a bush fire? Do you let them run free or do you try to move them? A qualified equine  trainer will runs a special program to assist with horse management in the event of a bush fire.
